Glow Slow Holiday- Day 5- Finding Clarity for the Year Ahead

If you looked at everything I accomplished this year, you might assume I had perfect systems, endless motivation, or some kind of secret hustle in my back pocket.

But the truth?

I finally learned how to drown out the noise.

I stopped letting everyone else’s opinions, strategies, and “shoulds” guide my steps. I pulled away from the constant input, the pressure to do it right, and the temptation to compare my calling to someone else’s. And when the noise got quiet… God got loud.

That’s when the clarity came.

That’s when things started to shift.

That’s when I began to move with purpose instead of panic.

If you’re craving that kind of clarity heading into 2026, this post is for you.

Here are the exact tools I used (or new ones I plan to use) that brought incredible clarity to 2025, and made it the most productive year of my life.

The Bible That Shifted Everything for Me This Year

The yearly Bible I used in 2025 was simple, no fluff, and exactly what my weary heart needed. I loved the “open and go” rhythm—Old Testament, New Testament, Psalms, and Proverbs every single day. It helped me see Scripture as the unified story it truly is instead of spending months in one section and losing the bigger picture.

Most mornings, I avoided tech entirely. I’d flip on my little red light, sit with the quiet, and read straight from the page. It was grounding in a way my phone never could be.

My New Bible for Note-taking

The Bible I used this year may be my favorite one yet. It’s unique, all leather (it truly makes the most beautiful gift), and it has space for notes—which I adore.

I take it to church, use it during quiet time when I want to chase down a cross-reference, and the best part? Looking back at the threads God wove through my year. I’m convinced He speaks in themes, and watching them unfold in the margins of my Bible has been one of the sweetest gifts.

The Yearly Bible I Chose for 2026

If you want to join me this year, I picked up a new “Bible-in-a-year” that keeps the same format I love: OT, NT, Psalms, and Proverbs daily. I’m hesitant about heavy commentary because I want to leave space for the Holy Spirit to speak. But this one is by a trusted pastor—someone whose life bore fruit long before his death—and I feel peaceful giving it a try.

The Journal That Became My Anchor

Last year, my yearly journal became the backbone of my entire life rhythm: prayers, Scripture notes, goals… almost everything landed there.

This year, I’m upgrading to a journal that will be my true one-stop shop. Not just a Bible journal—but a place for vision, intentions, routines, meal planning, movement tracking, all in one.

My kitchen became a holy place in 2025.

Morning quiet time at the counter.

Writing prayers at the island.

Feeding myself and my family with intention.

This year, I want all of those threads woven together.

My favorite Bible Highlighters

These became my go to, they come in a pack, and have two tips, one for highlighting in the Bible, and the other side that is thicker for highlighting notes. This whole shop is cute, you should check them out!

Whatever you are searching for is found on the pages of scripture. I walked into 2025 confused, directionless, unsure what God was asking of me. But as I turned these pages day after day, things became clearer than they’ve ever been. If you’re craving direction for the year ahead—if you want to hear Him more clearly—start here. You won’t regret it!
