Glow Slow Holiday: Finding Peace in a Pressure-Filled Black Friday Season

It started with Black Friday. And it wasn’t even officially Black Friday yet.

Not the deals…but the pressure behind them.

The noise, the urgency, the countdowns, the “buy now or miss out forever” messaging — it all felt so loud.

Too loud.

Instead of excitement, I felt a pit in my stomach.

Instead of joy, I felt pressure to hurry, choose, plan, perfect, perform.

And the thought crossed my mind:

How would it look to do Black Friday differently this year?”

That was the moment something shifted.

Because the truth is, Black Friday has a way of telling us we’re already behind.

That we need more things.

More plans.

More gifts.

More everything.

But my soul didn’t want “more.”

My soul wanted margin.

A moment to slow down before December swallowed me whole.

And that’s where Glow Slow Holiday was born.

Not from strategy.

Not from planning.

But from a quiet, personal moment of recognizing: “This pace isn’t holy, and it definitely isn’t healthy.”

I needed a way to step out of the holiday frenzy

and step into something gentler —something rooted in God, not cultural pressure.

And I knew other women needed it too.

Glow Slow Holiday is 10 days of slowing down, re-centering, and protecting the calm we crave:

✨ Scripture-based journal prompts to come back to truth instead of pressure.

✨ Simple wellness rhythms that reset your nervous system instead of overstimulating it.

✨ Gentle reflections to help you see the season clearly again.

✨ Intentional product picks:  ONLY things that support simplicity, nourishment, or peace;

never “buy everything” energy.

This isn’t about rejecting shopping.

It’s about rejecting the pressure that usually comes with it.

It’s about remembering that what matters most isn’t bought.

Day 1 Reflection

Pause for one moment and ask yourself:

“What part of the holiday season has been making me feel rushed, pressured, or distracted?”

Name it.

And then ask God to usher in peace instead. Ask Him to show you how to make choices that reflect peace instead of pressure.

Day 1 Journal Prompt

What expectations do I need to release in order to experience a calmer, more grounded holiday season?

Let yourself write without rules.

Tomorrow is Day 2,

and we’ll talk about the mirror moment

that shifted the way I view beauty during the holidays.
